We have previously written about the Cointed connections and its extensive network, stretching from Hong Kong to Switzerland. There are still lingering questions regarding the specific involvement of Cointed and/or Christopher RIEDER in the Optioment case.
Several individuals have come forward to testify that they made their Optioment FIAT payments using Cointed’s exchange platform and its ATMs. In some instances, we’ve heard of ATM transaction limits being temporarily lifted to allow for larger payments into the Optioment system.
Bosphorus Banking Lead
Tonight, we received a new lead concerning Christopher RIEDER and/or Cointed’s potential involvement in the Turkish venture, The Bosphorus (www.bosphorus-banking.com), located in Dalaman. We’ve already conducted a quick check and found that the website appears to be operated by a tourism company named Dilek Turistik Ltd. There is little additional information available at this time. We attempted to call the contact number listed on the site but were unable to reach anyone (the number appears to be currently out of service). Our sources indicate that Christopher RIEDER was one of the key figures behind The Bosphorus project.
Upon closer inspection of the website, we discovered it is virtually identical to that of Cointed’s Swiss Crypto Group AG (www.swisscryptogroup.com). The website seems to be a direct copy, with only minor adjustments to the text. Even the menu items are exactly the same. It appears that the individuals around Christopher RIEDER at Cointed have set up multiple shell companies globally to conduct their business operations.
